A Colorful Birthday and More!

Hello there Beautiful People!!!
It has been a while since my last blog.  Life has been busy.  Today I am trying my hand at presenting this unique birthday card that I designed.

This is my first time walking an audience through a card design - so please accept my apologies beforehand for any clumsy mistakes - smile!  I am not a demostrator for any particular brand, so you will see me use all types!  Some I remember and I will mention those, others I may no longer have the packagaing.

This is a very colorful Happy Birthday card - quite unique in its own right.  Cute and colorful flowers of the rainbow adorn this very simple, but well stated card.
Now, lets go on a design journey!

I started with a template.  From a 81/2 x 11 sheet of paper I cut it down to 8 x 71/2, scoring at 4 inches resulting in a card measuring 4 x 71/2.

I drew a line diagonally across the front of my template resulting in a triangle that I used to cut the black portion of the card.
This shows the triangle in black card stock that will be placed on the card. This piece of course can be any color of choice.

The card once the black triangle is in place.

I selected colors of the rainbow and punched out these cute little flowers.

I placed the flowers along the diagonal line where the two colors meet.  This created a very striking effect.

On the inside of the card, I selected a very colorful paper, cut to measure 3.75 x 7.25.
On top of that I placed white card stock that measures 3.25 x 7.00.  Here a sentiment can be printed or a personal message can be written.

Next, I stamped "Happy Birthday" on a piece of scrap white card stock using Stampin' Up black ink.  Once I stamped the sentiment I rounded the corners and placed it on the front of the card.

I also embellished the flowers with little gems to make them "pop"!

There you have it!  Finished size = 4.00 x 7.50 inches.  Very colorful, with very simple and clean lines.

With Memorial Day right around the corner, red, white and blue would also be a great way to say, "Happy Memorial Day!" or use for invites for Memorial Day Events!!!!  So many great uses!  So have fun with this design - feel free to repeat or kick it up a notch with your own added ideas and embellishments!

Elegant Note Cards

This set of beautiful cards has to be my absolute favorite.  The sweet little box is simple to make and holds 6 A2 size cards.

They are simple but yet so elegant.  I used Copic makrs to color the tulips that are hand stamped on the front. I will make another set and try embossing and painting with water colors.
